The widest part of the fin for an LT-175 2.41X upscale (~30" long) is right at 3". For an LT-225 3.06X upscale (~36+" long) , that same measurement is 4.75". I'm guessing you'd need a compound fin, like on the Semroc Hustler.
Here's a "quick and dirty" workup on the LT-175 version. The colors are garish, but at least you can see the individual pieces.
