Craig,
My wife's been insisting for years that I could lose some weight. I keep telling her I'd look stupid without a head and one arm. 
I didn't start gaining weight until after I'd met her. So I ask her if she'd like me to be fat and happy or thin and miserable. 
She tells me that's *not* what she means. I just say, "Oh, well."
