New Design -- Needler
This is one of those "what was old is new again" designs. I had the pointy Estes PNC-55BB, and I went, "*Wait!* I've got a BT-50/55 section with a transition in the middle!" So this is what happens when components collide (at *extremely* low velocities
I also doublechecked the materials of the components, and changed the Estes "paper" tubes to "spiral/glassine," as well as juggling parachute sizes/materials and launch lug locations until I got fairly tolerable deployment velocities.
The basic fin shape is from my MIDI-Loader
upscale of Craig's Mini-Loader
design, but I shrunk the fins to 75% and multiplied them from 3 to 5... just because I could. <big evil grin>
