I throught about upscaling this to a BT-80 several years ago. I contacted a balsa vendor in the UK that advertised 1m long half round balsa and ordered 20 sticks. I received the package and immediately was concerned about how short it was. The nice lady included a note to tell me that the sticks had been cut in half to enable a less expensive shipping price.

And so it sits...
