I flew my Estes RTF Saturn V on some 20+ year old D13W-4's last year. The propellant grains were swollen enough that I had to trim back the slot before they'd fit in the liner, but once I did they went together OK. I used First Fire Jr. igniters and they lit off OK (after a chuff or two) and the flights were fine (much better altitude than a C6-3)
