Bill can attest to the fact that a couple of months ago (after buying RockSim) that I'd come up with a design, and shortly thereafter I'd *have* to do a 175% "SLS" (Semroc Large Scale) version. ;)

Oddly enough, ST-10 seems to be "just beefy enough" for me, and falls into my TLAR (That Looks About Right) category.

Although ST-13 is handy for ST-7 175% (lightweight) upscales. :D

At least, that explains me. For Craig, apparently it's just sheer coincidence.

Having FAR TOO MUCH spare time on my hands doesn't hurt...

The PUNK Series

5 Attachment(s)
Here are images of the PUNK series at present. The idea was to create a "family" of small rockets which stayed about the same height, but just get 'big around the middle'. Much like their designer... :o

Left to right:

1. PUNK 13 -- 13mm motor, ST-5

2. PUNK 18 -- 18mm motor, ST-7

3. PUNK 18XL - 18mm motor, ST-8

4. PUNK 18XXL -- 18mm motor, ST-10

5. PUNK 24 -- 24mm motor, ST-16

I plan to do a version with ST-13, but I want to use something other than a single 18mm motor. I may do a 13mm cluster, just to be arrogant... :D

(Clint Eastwood voice) "You gotta ask yourself... Do you feel CHUNKY, punk? Well, do ya?" :p

Barely.

After my family's bout with the flu 3 weeks ago, my wife and I developed sinus conditions. Mine turned into an ear infection, so my right ear has been "hissing" for a week. Last night at the doctor's office, the nurse asked if I'd checked for snakes. If I'd been more coherent, I might've smacked her.

But now I'm on antibiotics and nasal steroids (no WONDER my nose is so big!), and if my 7 year old daughter will quit screaming, I might actually feel well enough to do something rocket-related. :p

Last Saturday I managed to get 99% of my rocketry stuff organized, so I can finally find stuff now. :D

Okay, back to our Regularly Scheduled Programming

"I feel your pain..." ;)

I've been battling crud / sinus / bronchial asthma this go-round since Jan 1. I have a joke about it all:

"I only get sick twice a year, but it lasts six months each time!!!" :D

I sound more like a German Sheperd than a human... Look like one sometimes...

I don't want to jinx myself or anything, but this is about as good as I've felt at this point in the year for quite some time. I finally gave in to vanity and started wearing a winter hat this year, and my sinus problems have been largely quiet. It's the weather that's killing me, and only from a flight weekend standpoint.
Tonight I painted the fins on my Semroc Recruiter in the ROYGBV pattern and did final sanding on my Alien Invader clone. I'm hoping to get the second coat on the Recruiter fins and the yellow on the front of the A.I. tonight. After those are finished, I plan to start the Tuber. (Although I'm not yet sure of a paint scheme for that one.)
Feel better. Feed a cold, starve a fever, and drown everything else with beer.
