Looking forward to seeing those '77 and '71 catalogs.

May have to check with Sue a about that that one.

This catalog also shows a part number for "Old #19" and "Old #24" blades with the original "wide length" style of those blades, but only available in 100 paks. This catalog identifies those were at least still available as late as 1980.

GH-

This may be the mitre box like in the 1980 catalog, if you have not already snagged one somewhere else.

Thanks for posting and hosting, Scott.

This is the first of the two catalogs I won off eBay last week. Came in a few days ago. I’ll start scanning the ‘77 catalog here in a couple days or so.

Take a look at page 12 of this catalog. Xacto added a model rocket tool kit to this catalog. I picked up one of these tool kits about a year ago off eBay. I suspect Xacto offering this tool kit was a result of the work they did in packaging up the similar Centuri vinyl tool kit pouch. I’ve come to the conclusion that Centuri’s tool kit was probably farmed out to Xacto to private label produce for Centuri, sometime around ‘69 or so. Not sure how long Xacto carried their model rocket tool kit, but Centuri continued to carry theirs until the latter 70s.

Yep, sent it to Scott yesterday as a matter of fact. He generally posts in a day or two unless he is on vacation.

Thanks for posting and hosting, Scott.

Of note in this 1977 catalog is the change Xacto made that year for their product numbering system.

If one looks at the Index (page 30...the 'third page' of the index, since the index pages starting at 28 aren't numbered), you will see a note there from Xacto that says they are switching to a new numbering system (basically, either three- or four-digit numbers; no more alpha-numeric product numbers) to make processing orders more efficient.

Just snagged a 1960 Xacto catalog, coming out of Canada. May take a couple weeks to get here, but once it arrives I'll scan and send to Scott for posting. Been kind of a dry spell here lately on finding any additional vintage catalogs.
