Were these plans protected by copy write ? has that copy write expired?
Would not want to be the one selling this CD, I bet it's from China.

That DVD data set has been for sale, from what I can remember, for years. I'm sure most all the contents are gleaned from various sources on the web.

I'm not sure how copyright law would work in this case, but one would assume there might be some case against them. Of course, bringing it to court or even a copyright lawyer's attention (unless they are on staff) would/can be expensive.

Location says Tennessee.

Next questions:

Is the only thing shown as "plans" only the instructions?
Are PDF's of:
decals included?
Fin Patterns?
odd shaped nose cone dimensions?
vacu-formed shapes?

Might be worth contacting eBay and letting them know the guy is selling info copied from your website (and certainly lots more). I counted 10 or more similar DVDs about trains, RC planes, etc.

I’ve never bought any of these but it seems their business model is collecting all this stuff from various web sources and selling them on data DVDs. Potentially, a fair amount of this stuff could be public domain materials (one could collect all sorts of on-line NASA documents and sell them like this all day long...it’s all public domain), but some of the sources may certainly be copyrighted and that might create a problem.

But then you got that guy who does Morerockets and sells Estes clone kits with xeroxed copies of Estes instructions in the kit bags. Now, how he gets away with that I’m not sure (and I know we have discussed his stuff here before), but I don’t recall if he has gotten permission from Estes to do that or what.

Seems like eBay was contacted years ago when he first started selling them and nothing was done about it.

If the "morerockets" guy was selling kits that the original owner/developer had in their current lineup, I would have a problem with it. Whether legal or not, I'm not an attorney.
