A Special Reminder for model designers...

In reading the personal intros everyone is making, I am seeing a number of you who have indicated an interest in model design, especially in reference to using the new motor line that Carl is trying to finalize. I would like to remind all of you about BARCLONE, and the "Scrounged" thread over in the "public" forum area. You do not need to wait about introducing new designs. Start practicing your craft now, and submit some plans to that thread.

In order for Carl's motors to shine, he's going to need new models to put them into. While we're not supposed to advertise the "secrets" we're discussing in this section, we can still generate a large foundation of designs that can be adapted when the new motors become available. Just use the existing lines of motors for the present, and as the new motors come on-line, adapt your designs as required. RockSim is a great tool for this, and I highly encourage you to use it as much as possible. There are other design/sim tools out there, and if you're using any of these please let us know.

Don't wait for the new motors before sending something. Show everyone what you can do now. The more designs we can post now, the more designs Carl will have available to make motors for! And that adds up to a big reason to make those motors in the long haul!

BARCLONE was started for the benefit of BARs and new enthusiasts, to offer fresh ideas and usable tips for builders and flyers of model rockets. This means you! Put your talent to work right now, and help expand model rocketry for everyone.
