Semroc ARCAS or Cherokee D

After the holidays are over and I can scrape up some savings the next kit I want to get is either the large ARCAS kit(the $70.00) or the Cherokee D. That ARCAS kit just has such a cool look and it's a good size rocket... definitely one I want to add to the fleet. On the other hand, the Cherokee D was a kit I always wanted when I was a kid but never did get. It's an easier build and it also is one of the coolest looking rockets Estes made, IMO, and Semroc has nailed it with their version. There's definitely a gap price-wise but if anyone has built one or both of these kits, I'd appreciate some feedback. Thanks!

You won't regret the SLS ARCAS purchase. I have one and have flown mine with F EconoJets and it always turns in great flights. It's a rewarding build and it's well worth the investment.

I have a CTI long burn 168H54 for the P29-3G motor case set aside to use at our next launch in Winnsboro, LA but since the launch last Saturday was cancelled it will fly again in January.

It sims to a little over 3,200 feet so I'll probably use a slightly smaller chute to bring it down a little faster.

Great kit.

Cool! I appreciate the feedback, my friend! I'm looking forward to eventually adding this to my fleet. Nice job on your build, looks awesome!

I have built both. Both are great kits that you cannot go wrong with. The Arcas is a more "fun" build having more parts. Go for the Arcas.
