Okay I am going to do another dead or alive! What brand is this BT-60 blow molded plastic nose cone?

Are you sure it's blow moulded and not injection moulded?

Jerry Irvine 09-02-2019 08:07 PM

Yes. I probably got it from JonRocket or Starlight.

That’s a nice nosecone. You probably want to invest in a better tube cutter :)

Jerry Irvine 09-02-2019 08:16 PM

Estes tube cutter. I normally use mine,

Pretty sure Bob at Starlight only had injection molded cones in BT-50 and BT-20. There’s not a ton of blow molded cones out there.

If one can stump this crew, my posting here was 100% appropriate!

Jerry-
Was this posted as a trivia quiz, or are you actually trying to figure out who you sourced this cone with ?
If you have the answer, please let us know.

If he is accurate with the description, it has to be an Estes cone. Nobody else uses the BT-60 nomenclature other than eRockets and they only make balsa cones. However, I don't recall an Estes cone that looks like an oversized Alpha III cone. I have to assume the BT-60 comment was to generically designate a 1.6x" tube.

Maybe the Sprint XL cone?

Is the nose cone still in production or new old stock?
