Well...some of them.

To save a bit on the kit final price does anybody mind cutting out their own balsa?

Laser cutting would add a good chunk of money to the kit cost.

I was unable to convince myself for the Nike-Herc... But just to try and help AND show you there are a few TLP people willing to part with their $$$, I placed a TLP decal order for the kits I have that overlap your offerings. My first order... be gentle... :chuckle:

I would like the least expensive option that would still provide the hardest parts turned since I am not experienced in turning wood. :D

Well I have 6 others... I'll have to make my own for them! :D As I mentioned elsewhere I like the challenge of their kits! And I wanted to show support for vendors like you.

And to be on topic - I wanted to help make sure AV becomes a kit!

OK, progress!

It took some time to work out the fin patterns and the card stock scallop at the rear.

But I think I got it. Not a perfect reproduction of the original but pretty close.

Hey, it's not like it's scale.

The fin pattern and scalloped were drawn in CAD.

Next came the location of the scallop and windshield.

It took me a while to calculate the length of the body tube at 11".

Followed by gluing on the top fin. The fin gun has been installed already.

I'll do the wings later tonight.

Got the wings on.

Here's a comparison of the old Guinevere and the new one.

Some slight differences but essentially the same.

It aint't scale!

Now like the older Guinevere I went with 1/8" for the fins. The thicker fins give her a
beefier look. More in keeping with the 50's era space ship.

I just may make the upper fin a tad longer.

I prefer the look of the right hand photo. The fins are more swept in the rear (but probably more easily broken)

Just my $0.02 worth...

What's the status, Gordy?
