New Design -- Blimpie

3 Attachment(s)
The name doesn't fit because this isn't at all what I started and envisioned for Blimpie. It started out short and squat with little tiny fins ..... like a blimp. I fiddled around with it until it morphed into something I really no longer liked that could be flown on 18mm D engines. In all reality it should be named "delete key" because it was a click away from the recycle bin ;)

I didn't save any of the earlier versions (a big mistake when designing) so basically it is what it is but I don't plan to take it any further. So I present to you Blimpie.

:o

I like it.

I like it Steve, besides the only mistake one can make when designing is if it don't fly ;) .

Thanks James

It started out in my mind to be Goony sized. I'll have some extra BT-60 from my BMS BB24mm built and I was looking for an application to use that and some spare parts on hand. After tweaking the fins, then the number of fins, airframe length and other things to improve stability in the design the end result really wasn't what I had originally intended at all. I guess it happens. I have a bad habit of not saving each revision before making major changes so I'll just start over with a new design and a new plan soon.

;)
