I too am in the process of saving all the .pdf instruction and the RocSims, since I have RocSim.
Making little changes will be much easier, like switching out an engine mount, or adding an av bay. Randy is doing really well will getting more kits out and parts too.
I will miss those white boxes stamped Semroc though!
It was like, hit the buy now, walk to the door and the box was there.
Randy responded to an email I sent him. He is not doing the SAM, but he said he had something else in mind he's going to put in place before the end of this year.
Yeupeeee!

I miss the old SEMROC site that Carl built where you could pull up a parts list and click on the parts to add them to the cart. I miss the free fast shipping. I miss the SAM discounts and the Xmas sales. I miss the exceptional customer service. I miss the white boxes.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone but e-rocket's ain't SEMROC ... not even close.

I can't take the poll because I don't believe either of the two choices are accurate: Erockets prices are reasonable. Not the cheapest around but not the most expensive either. Hey a business has to make a reasonable profit to continue, right. As for SAM members and the discount, the SAM club folded when the original Semroc did. Not realistic to expect Randy (Boadway, owner) to continue that. About a year ago I asked Randy via email whether he considered a "Rewards Points" type discount for frequent customers, since I order there frequently. He replied that any kind of discount program will have to wait until they are consistently profitable. Seems like they aren't there yet. His recent overhaul of kit offerings should help by eliminating slow sellers and replacing them with new kit offerings. Maybe then he can start a new club or discount program.

One of the best things about Carl/Sheryl/Bruce Semroc was the almost never discontinuation of kits. The Saturn 1B and the entire SLS line should be in the perpetual untouchable category. Wish we could have got the K-21 Gemini Titan and the Nike Ajax back.
While Semroc still exists within eRockets, it's a FAR CRY from what Carl & company created.

What a wonderful compliment, ghrocketman. Thank you very much. Please give eRockets a chance. Randy is more the business man than Carl was. Carl put pleasing people at top of the priority list instead of profit. It took us about 5 years to see any profit, learning how to use materials without so much waste.

Carl kept most kits in production because "someone might want one", his words. We just didn't make many kits to replenish the stock if a certain kit was not a good seller.

Yeah, when Carl, Sheryl and Bruce were born they broke the moulds. I'm in Canada and Carl was SO FAIR that, although shipping here was more expensive and I didn't get free shipping, Carl deducted the amount it cost him to ship to you guys in the US from my shipping charge! So I got the same benefit that you guys did. Now, who else ever did that?! Honestly, there will never be another like him.

You got that right for sure, Joe.
We most likely will never see the likes of the original Semroc team of Carl, Sheryl, and Bruce ever again. Real hobbyists first and business owners second.
Best of the best.
