Aww, c'mon noww. Glue the tower on.
Half the fun of scale NASA types is flying and recovering without a busticated tower.
The other half the fun is REPAIRING BUSTICATED TOWERS.

I agree, at least as far as flying with a tower. And it’s not a scale flight without one. :)

I’m not sure I’d agree that 1/2 the fun is repairing. I’d just buy another capsule
kit. :)

Thanks Paul, no I don't have a good flying field anymore. A friend and I keep saying one day we'll get down to TX and fly with DARS, but life (and quarantines!) have gotten in the way..,

BTW I went ahead and glued the tower on :)

A friend w/ a laser cutter made the 1/45th ALJII display base (original files were posted on Facebook). I asked him to scale it down for this model and here is the prototype. It needs some tweaks (a few of the members, when scaled down are just too thin to sand without breaking).

Here is a pic of it and a side-by-side w/ the larger version.
