Estes mid-power deals
 

On their web site, Estes is selling some Pro II series kits for half price. They also are offering free shipping on orders $29.99 and above. So, there are some rather large rockets available for $29.99 shipped. Here's one:

$29.99 is list price for the Scion. Likewise the Sahara and Panavia. All three are web exclusives; in fact they're made from parts used in other Pro Series II rockets, packaged without face cards in plastic bags and sold direct which presumably accounts for the low price.

But yes, there are PSIIs at 50% off; at the moment, the Partizon and Argent, at $22.50.

Sadly, the Nike Smoke and Mega Der Red Max never go on sale.

Agree with Rich's comment about the PSII Nike Smoke and Mega Der Red Max.
One can often find the Nike Smoke on eBay for as low as $25+shipping, but still almost never any decent deals on the MDRM.
I have wanted a MDRM for quite a while, but just cannot justify $60+ for it.

I've wanted the MDRM for some time too, I suspect the reason it's never on sale may be due to there being 4 or 5 sheets of decals in the kit? Just a guess. Thw other PSII kits don't have this extra expense.
I've decided to bite the bullet and builda clone, found some postal tube that is ~94mm OD which would make a 94% clone. Got foamboard for the nose, still trying to decide whether papering the foam will be tough enough or if I should glass it. Still need to redraw the decals and downscale them, gonna be a few sheets of the Bare Metal decal paper!

Never got the PSII MDRM.
Could never find one for a decent price.
Now discontinued, they regularly go for well over $100 on ebay.
Just not worth the $$ to me for a 4" plain 4FNC rocket.

It would be worth a lot of money if it had 4 fins, like a mistake on a bubble gum card. MDRM's are 3FNC rockets. :p
