I’m building a Silver Comet from a VERY damaged kit. The main BT80 was both crushed and shortened. Fortunately the V2 fin can, the unique nose cone, and the decals are usable. I have plenty of BT80 stock to make a new main BT.

An interesting observation: with an 11” BT80 the finished model measures 28” long but the package says 25” long. Plus, the photo on the face card “looks” like the main BT is shorter than 11”

That is interesting.....longer would be more stable. Now you make me want to dig out the Silver Comet kit I have in the unbuilt stash and see if it is the same length.

The model is a nice flyer (but then so is the BT-80 V-2, at least for me). I used your V-2 approach to installing the fins when I built my Silver Comet.

Can I use a V2 rocket kit and convert it a Silver Comet?
