Look what I found at my local dollar stor.
OK, the package was $3.99 but you get three and they come with batteries.
They are really loud like a personal alarm.
They are 1.1" wide but if you open them up you can see that it would be easy to remove the reed switch (magnetically operated) then it would be about 0.8" wide.
