1/48 Saturn V Kit
Ok, lets start by saying that this thread is about the kit I am selling. Lets please not bring up individuals from the past.
I have a 1/48 Saturn V kit which I purchased from Sheri's Hot Rockets many years ago, when she first started selling them. I never got around to building it, mainly because I don't have room for it after it is built. Times being as they are, I find I need the money more than the kit now. The kit is complete, just as I received it. It is designed for a 54 mm motor mount. It has been stored inside our air conditioned, smoke free home. I am asking $325.00 for it, and I will pay for the shipping. For those that do not know me I sell on ebay under this same name (harsas) and have 1229 feedback at 100%. Feel free to check it out. Of course, many of you have purchased from me in the past as well. If you are interested, please PM or email. I will accept almost any form of payment you prefer, and will ship within 3 days of payment (will need time to secure large boxes and pack the kit). The kit may arrive in two boxes, depending upon local box availability. I will let you know when I ship. It will be insured and have a tracking number.

Hi,
You do realize that Estes is planning the release of a 1/48 Scale Sat 1b ... just saying J |

A. This is a Saturn V, not 1B B. Estes has never made anything even close to this big. You might want to recheck your numbers.

Estes prototyped a 1/48 Kit back in the late 90's IIRC. It crashed at the demonstration launch. At NARAM 52 there was some discussion of the kit being re-released. There was also interest in the 1/45 scale Littel Joe ... wait that wasn't Estes but anoither company rising from it's ashes J |

A photo of the carnage was in Sport Rocketry magazine. It was flown at NARAM in 1992. I believe it was 1/45 scale. IIRC, this was before the Darkstars and it flew on a Vulcan G80.

Yup, NARAM-34. I was the CD. Here's a picture of the Saturn 1B taken at a Chicago RCHTA Show (along with Mary Roberts).

Bob, Thanks for the update. And yes there is a possibility that we may see a 1/45 Scale LJII within a year J |

I've got a ~1/43 scale Saturn 1B in limbo sitting about half finished. That means either Estes or SEMROC will put one out about the time I finally finish it.
