Seems we're having an uncharacteristically windy season here in north Texas, so no matter that the rocket's nearly ready to fly, it may still be a while before the weather permits... I found some 1/2" wide yellow tape, but it's translucent. (Frick!) My 3/4" wide Scotch brand is more opaque. I tried to cut it down, but the exacto blade was walking around on me. (Frick! x2) Of course, when I pulled the tape off, some paint came with. (Frick! x3) Below is a closer look at the double fairings. Lastly, from this angle, it looks more like the original. Doug. .

I'd like to build a similar faux-Cineroc capsule. I've figured out that the Semroc nosecone is BC-1834, and the transition adapter is BR60-18. However, how long a piece of their series 18 tube goes in between to get the overall length about right?
Thanks - Alan

4.4", as Tim's drawing indicates. Semroc calls it ST-1844 , listed as "Cineroc Body Tube" in this thread: http://forums.rocketshoppe.com/show...203&postcount=1 HTH. Doug .

If Carl isn't already developing a Semroc kit version of this..."Eco-Cineroc?" (because other than the user-furnished electronic camera, it's made entirely out of bio-degradable materials), I hope he does.

Thanks all! I'll have to pick up those parts in my next Semroc order.
