Default Removable shock cord anchor (link)

I had some extra time to search this morning, and here is the link to the Apogee Components "Peak of Flight" newsletter (Issue #231) that contains Dr. Roy F. Houchin's article about the removable shock cord anchor (the article begins on page 6): http://www.apogeerockets.com/educat...wsletter231.pdf

Also, here are links to issues that contain articles that I wrote about a clip-less 13 mm-to-18 mm motor mount adapter (see: http://www.apogeerockets.com/educat...wsletter227.pdf ) and G. Harry Stine's PARADIGM-5 low-drag 13 mm model rocket (see: http://www.apogeerockets.com/educat...wsletter225.pdf ) that appears on page 156 of the current (7th edition) of the "Handbook of Model Rocketry" and has appeared in previous editions going back to the 1970s. The article includes plans for the PARADIGM-5 and an upscaled 18 mm version called the PARADIGM-5 Senior.

You're most welcome. Provided that you're lucky enough to avoid losing them to rocket-eating trees, there is no reason why well-constructed model rockets can't remain flyable for several decades and hundreds of flights, like the Estes Sprint that was presented to Vern and Gleda Estes after its builder (whose name I unfortunately can't remember) flew it 500 times! (Speaking of the Estes, they launched their decades-old, much-flown original Big Bertha at the latest NARAM.) The removable shock cord anchor makes it much easier to replace shock cords as they wear out.

Default shockcord repacement

I'm looking forward to our next launch a week from Saturday as some in the club will be launching high powered rockets.I have a Apogee Aspire that I have yet to try.The farm we fly from is a bit small for that but with FAA clearence we'll be flying in a site where I can launch the Aspire and put a E9-6 in my Big Daddy.Plus it will be my first time watching high power rockets.Should be fun and will take pictures.Weather here in NorthEast Ohio is changing.Today on my 4 mile walk it snowed for the first time this fall.I hate to face winter but I'll be on my mountain bike riding this winter again. Can't wait till spring. Thanks again, cjp.

G Harry Stine is concidered the father of model rocketry. He's also the founder of the NAR as well as an accomplished author.
