Default Vintage Estes Pershing, Vintage Wonder Woman

Rokitflite mentioned another Vintage Estes rocket in the Wonder Woman TV series. I dug around and found the episode, "The Murderous Missile" from 1978. You can see that it's an Estes Pershing 1A that has been "colorized".

Here are a few screen caps. I found the video on a Japanese website similar to Youtube. I'm about half way through the show now. If there's a launch, I'll post it too.

Almost forgot...here's a link to the episode: Wonder Woman: "The Murderous Missile"

Screen caps of the launch. It's obviously a BP motor. Liftoff was much quicker than my Pershing, so they either used FSI motors, or a D12 cluster.

Hey Bill,

Wonder Woman doesn't swing that way Now if your name was Billy Joe Ann, you would have a chance at her

I recall a Incredible Hulk episode where these kids were building rockets and rocket motors in the attic of their house and a fire broke out. Estes Maxi kits were featured in the shots.

Then there was the Six Million Dollar Man episode where this kid invented this chemical agent where he would load the model rocket with the chemicals, then he would have to sit back and wait for the reaction to take place. A small amount of chemical created a huge take off, then explosion as the rocket reached its zenith.

The Russians were VERY interested in this teenager, and Steve Austin had to track him down for his own protection.

Why is today's TV crap compared to those great shows of yesterday?

Thanks Tbzep! I had not seen that episode since MAYBE 1982-3... I'm glad my memory WAS actually correct about the rocket, the color, the tilt-a-pad and the 55 gallon drum I tried to watch the episode but it would not load past 50%... Still, a great memory... Or mammary...*sorry*

You guys are trying to keep me from building rockets aren't you?
I'll try to locate these episodes, but it might be a while.

Not necessarily,
they used and old but effective

I wasn't thinking about that...they probably did. However, the altitude was way more than my Pershing. I flew it one time and retired it immediately because a single D12-3 barely got it off the ground and ejection well past a very low apogee.

Not necessarily,

FSI did a lot of special effects work for film and TV studios back then.
It could easily be an F100 conversion.
