The trouble with living (literally) in the sticks, besides having very little in the way of launch fields to choose from (even though I'm surrounded by hundreds of 1,000's of acres of public land), is that there are no stores anywhere in the area that would ever feature such discounts (or that carry any rocketry items at all). Oh well, at least I can still get Old Formula Krylon just about anywhere without trying too hard.

I know what you mean, I live in the sticks as well but I commute to the "big" city every day so there are a number of discount possibilities on the 50 mile one way drive. However, depending on what Don found at the other locations, I don't think the Targets in this area have rockets. The WM deal may get even better in the next week or so. I stopped by one last night and the toy dept. was pretty much blown out because of all the items on clearance but they still had quite a number of engines at $4.00 per pack. Maybe further reductions are necessary to move these items out.

I didn't make it to Germantown or Collierville. My wife had other plans....

I think I'm really done now.

Went to a couple of previously-unvisited Targets at lunch time today.

Both stores had something I've never seen at a Target before: a full aisle of nothing but clearance items. So I had to root through everything on the shelves to find the well-hidden motors.

The first one had 1 pack of C6-5's for $1.24.

The second one had 5 packs of B6-4's and 7 packs of C6-5's, for $1.24 each.

I bought all of them.

I can't! Not when C6-5's are $8.99 a pack at Hobby Lobby.

That's why I've kept looking at different Target stores.

Checked out target today and NO rocketry items at all, clearance or otherwise...

In fact the only rocket items I ever recall at Target was the ill-fated mini Xwing kits withthe A10-3T engine included, did pick upa few of those on clerance a few years back .

Did check Wally world and they had the 4.00 / pak engines.

left the C6-5 ( lots ),and a few B6-4 paks, but go tthe last pak of A10-3T, last two B4-4 ( never saw B4-4 at Walmart before ), and the last 2 C6-3 paks.

No kits on clearance though, No launchables at all, just starter sets and engines.

will keep an eye on target, we'll see.

Just for fun, I scanned the remaining C6-5 and C6-3 packs at Wal*mart - no price stickers and the shelf sticker was gone. THe c6-5 pack came back at $4.00. The C6-3 were $4.97
