Default Alien Space Probe Decals

I'm not sure where to post this or if it's OK to ask, but here goes...

I'm almost done with my Estes Alien Space Probe clone, but I need decals. What I've found on the archive sites aren't very clear for just printing and I don't have the graphics skills to clean them up.

Does anyone have the kit that can scan the decals for me?

Brian

You can get vinyl from Mark at stickershock23.com

Various sizes, or custom upscaling or downscaling. If you are doing standard BT-80, they are $15.40.

His decals are first rate. Just browse the gallery of pictures. I’ve used them on rockets as small as BT-60 but they would work fine down a little smaller, too. Larger is not an issue.

I've used him for other projects and I plan on using him for the 3x upscale that I'm planning for LDRS, but for this one I wanted to try my hand at printing my own waterslides for the first time. If I can't find them, I'll hit him up for both sets.

I understand. I bought a color inkjet last year just for waterslides. Also got some decal paper. Just too busy with other projects to try printing some.

How are you making your “Bertha-style” nose cone for your upscale?

I have a LOC 7.5" nose cone that was damaged in a CATO. My plan has been to cut the top half off and layup fg into the "right" shape. However, I recently got a 3D printer and now I think I'm going to print it.

Either direction you go, I hope you post some pictures here. That would be a very impressive 3D print!

If you can afford a few days, I was moved to redrawing this decal. I used to do these a lot just because I enjoy drawing bezier curves. I have about half of it done. I'll post the result here.

I'm just wondering how you plan on dealing with the white parts of the decal. I can render the white areas a different color if you like.

I had actually planned on just leaving the white areas transparent.

Then I have to cut it out exactly on the lines and some of the shapes are small circles. Possible, but I'm not nearly patient enough for that.
