I didn’t know he’d done the Black Star Voyager graphics. I’ve been tempted to get one, I’m just not sure I have the time to do one. I could devote the rest of my life to completing just my Saturns (9 various models besides the V I’m currently building) and Interceptors (6 regular, 7 of the E model). I have given away two regulars, built one E.

Yeah, I got a little carried away on buying kits over the years.

But the stock Interceptor is so *classic*.

Hmm.

(and no, building one of each would not be a realistic option for me. Gotta pick.)

I do like the Accur8 skins....

I thought that Estes was not allowed to use US military markings on their rockets due to licensing. I thought this was the case when they could not put US ARMY on the HoJo.

That whole licensing biz of "US ARMY" not in the reissue Nike-X decal is pure crap.
That should be able/available for public usage.
Naturally, the USAF being a more modern and forward thinking "AIM HIGH" branch of the service does not pull any such nonsense.

, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

I totally agree. When Revel re-released a F-16 model in Thunderbird markings, they had to refer to it as the US Air Team!

Looks like Estes officially announced the re-release of the Interceptor on their website. A late January arrival. If only someone would really help them with their written description, as it isn't the Starship Enterprise.

"Envisioned by Estes designers to be operational by 2050, the Estes “Interceptor” is an ultra-sophisticated rocket that could patrol our galaxy for possible aggression by hostile aliens. Highly advanced defense systems, which includes photon and laser armaments as well as ION drive for extended tours around the Milky Way only enhance the rocket!"

Did their manufacture in China have anything to do with that?

I don't think so, I think that the US military is wanting the liscensing fees.

It's only the Army pulling that crapola. The USAF is not.

All the branches should see it as FREE ADVERTISING.

If you look at the photo of the decals, you will notice that there is no USAF on the wings. It just reads USA. Along the fuse, it reads AIR FORCE, not U.S. AIR FORCE. Apparently it's not only the Army pulling the crapola.
