I noticed that the Saturn V has plastic fins.
JumpJet do you think it would be possible for those of us who have a couple Saturn V could get a couple of the plastic fins kits for the kits we already have when they come available? I'm sure there are others that would buy these fins if they were made available. |

What's with the Super Neon paint scheme? Reminds me of Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner.

The pictures you show are of young ladies out on a daytime excursion with some lads. What page 89 in the new catalog implies is that it's time to dump dad (who just slowed ya down anyway, making sure the fillets were done just right, etc.) and have your girl over for a night of building. A little different mindset. Not that I'm against having the fairer sex more involved.

At the most, it could be a Little Joe II taking off from the Moon before it disappears into another dimension. At the least, just a LJII taking off with a sparky motor.

Looking at that old image of the Shrike, I'm struck by how the approach of having two-stagers where the fins sort of fit together into one big fin has really gone out of favor. They used to have at least two or three like that, but now pretty much none. Maybe you could count the Solar Flare, but that's sort of a weird one in its own category.

Like BEC, I too am surprised that several of the rockets on the Estes "Specials" page are still listed in the new catalog. Sizzler, Fat Jax are a couple I bought for the grandkids. Biggest surprise is the Cosmic Interceptor. Maybe they have a ton of inventory? It's been available for $16.99 for quite some time ($48.99 MSRP). I keep thinking about buying another ... But I still have 5 Interceptor E kits unbuilt. I do have one ready to paint, if we ever get a break from the cold weather.
