If Paramount (formerly Desilu) had the rights, this guy might be in the movie.

There you go TB, bring Ray back and I might just pay $9 to see him as a Martian. Love his Jetson's type space craft but he was even better as the Devil in **** Yankees. Hey Scott! That's pretty neat. I typed in the real name of the movie but your software changed it. I didn't even think about it at the time. Randy www.vernarockets.com http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HHJHOK6 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O14ET8K https://www.facebook.com/RocketBabeDustStorm |

Funny you mention Marvin the Martian, I was watching Bugs Bunny's greatest hits. All too funny.

Another thumbs up for the book, I read it shortly after it came out, and I thought it was a very well told story. I didn't realize a movie was being made, the story certainly has the potential to be a good movie.

That suit reminds me. When I was a kid, the books said that the atmosphere on Mars was thick enough that we do not need a pressure suit, but there was not enough free oxygen to sustain human life. A supplementary source of oxygen would suffice though. I thought that Mars would be a pleasant place to be, with its slightly longer day and cooler temperatures. Now we know that conditions are nowhere that hospitable, and I am not even touching the radiation level due to the lack of a magnetic shield. Bill

Thanks to recommendations, I'm now smack dab in the middle of reading the book. It's too accessible as it's the Kindle edition and it's on my iPhone 6+.....which means I just had to put the phone back in it's case and force myself to get back to work. Great read so far!
