Smile Salvage Project

Gentlemen,

While my schedule is kind of tight right now, I will make the effort to take a group photo of my old, beat up rockets and try to get it posted here for every one to see.

Les

Smile Salvage Project #2

Gentlemen,

I did find an old photo of my collection. I was too dumb to know how to post it here, sorry. Not much of a teckie. I did post it on my Facebook page. Search for Leslie Randler, Maytown, PA. It's not very good but I hope it gives you some idea as to what is in the salvage box. There may be some plastic models in with the rockets, also.

By way of explanation - I was serving in the Army at Fort Cambell, KY, in the 1978 thru 1985 time frame. It was during that time that I built and collected most of my rockers and when I probably took this photo. When it came time for me to be transferred to Germany, all of my model rockets at the time were laid carefully, but with no kind of packing or cushioning material, one on top of the other, in a big box. Which is where they stayed, with all my moving back and forth overseas, twice, and then into storage until now. A quarter of a century ago. Wow ! I will have no idea as to the complete contents or it condition until I find the time to dig them out for that group photo. Maybe by Tuesday ???

Les, I knew there was just something good about you. Our youngest son has been stationed at Ft. Campbell the last 6-7 years, Mst Sgt. He's in the 160th SOAR. I still don't get the jumping thing but he likes it.

Thanks for your service.

Default More kits going to E-bay

Gentlemen,

Tonight five more of my kits are going to hit E-bay. Estes X-Wing Fighter, R2-D2, Galactic Pirates (set of two) and the Manta Bomber. Also, Centuri Super Kit U.F.O invader.

Randy, Thanks for the kind words. You do realize you son is in an "Elite" unit ? ? ? I could say more but I would lose my top secret clearance.

Just for info (and to maybe help Les a bit) here's the listing link for his Centuri Quasar, which is the boxed version and still shrink wrapped.

Currently up to about $112 or so.

NSDQ!

This book was one of my Father's Day gifts this year. Great book, co-authored by the helicopter pilot taken captive in the "Black Hawk Down" incident in Somalia.

Another guy thankful for your son's service. And daughter, too!
