Until all the cars that used R12 finally were either converted or went to the scrap yard, there was a booming blck market in R12 selling in Texas after being smuggled in from Mexico.

The tree huggers never go into the negatives of R134a like it causing cancer or how stable it is at high pressures or it just not working as good. Now 134a is on the chopping block and they don't even know FOR SURE what they are going to replace it with. "I thought they killed all the hippies........"
