Default How much does your Estes Fat Boy weigh?

How much does your Estes Fat Boy weigh without the engine? I am waiting for the paint to dry on mine but it seems to be a little over the 3.0 ounce weight that is listed by Estes.

Best regards,
Brian

That's why we mod them with 24mm mounts. The C11 is a great motor for the FB.

That plus the 24 mm mount sort of comes naturally when you kitbash a Fat Boy from a Mega Mosquito kit.

Mine, with 24 mm mount including Estes retainer, without motor, wadding, or laundry, and with 6' long, wide braided elastic shock cord, painted, comes in at 5.3 oz.

Mine weighs just over 6.5 oz but has plywood fins filleted with epoxy and an "E" length 24mm mount. Entire rocket was built with epoxy and was finished with 12 coats of Aero Gloss Royal Purple Dope. The plastic nose was painted with some sort of Testors Model Master Peuke Green enamel.
I chose those colors deliberately to clash.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !
