Default Yellowed Nose Cones

I pulled out my Shuttle Express/Greyhawk N/C and it was yellowed on the topside. I looked up cleaning it off and it gave me several ideas including cleaning ABS Plastic.

Is my N/C ABS Plastic?

Any other ideas?

I thought those were styrene, but could be wrong. I'll have to go scrounge thru the parts pile to see. Are you saying the plastic yellowed, based on exposure to sunlight?

I made the mistake of using Testors DullCote to protect decals on an Orbital Transport. The finish turned a splotchy brown after about 2-3 years. It was not directly exposed, but the room got natural indirect sunlight.

I now use Krylon UV-Resistant Acrylic Clears. They come in gloss and matte.
