Wall thickness of 3" Estes PSII tubes
Does anyone know, or could measure, the wall thickness of the 3" tubes used in PSII kits such as the Leviathan and Scion? Thanks

You can get identical tubes from Balsa Machining. I have and they are perfect. Get: T300-34 3.000x2.930x.035x34in long
Hope this helps Jim |

There's your answer...0.035" thick.

0.035 inches is not correct. See http://www.oldrocketforum.com/showthread.php?t=11765
I just rechecked my now long-built Leviathan and with primer and paint it's approaching 0.045 inch wall thickness.

I have Ascender, Panavia, and Sahara kits that are unbuilt. Using calipers the 2" body tubes check about 0.031" thick. The 2.5" body tubes check about 0.035" thick.

I just took a look at the actual spec sheet created for the tube manufacturer and it has a .035" wall thickness listed.
