If it was just up to me I would be doing a lot more foreign scale rockets assuming we could get permission.
Heck I'd even do more just to get ghrocketman upset all the while eating a Rubin sandwich. John Boren |

It's pretty simple, rockets and missiles that have a tie to our country will sell better than rockets from Venezuela or Paraguay. Also, one that has an interesting paint scheme or physical look will sell better. Estes needs to make a buck or two on its scale kits or they won't bother to keep producing them. We tend to forget that they are in the business of making money, not catering to the enthusiast, which is a very tiny fraction of their sales. In the grand scheme of things and in all seriousness, would you spend a bunch of money on a scale kit that was ugly or bland and that you had never even heard of before seeing it in a catalog? Don't answer this one if you are one of the folks that want to have at least one sample of every kit ever produced. That said, I'd love to see some good scale models of the various versions of the Russian R-7/Vostok/Soyuz and Protons along with a few other Russian missiles produced by Estes, but they won't make much money off of them.

In that case I don't particularly disagree, but you started off by agreeing with GH, and I think he was saying something quite different.
Anyway, how about that Expedition, eh? |

Yeah. I don't agree with him often, but when I do it's often for different reasons. As for the Expedition, it looks really nice. The shades of blue and red used really compliment the scheme.
