Default Summer's Coming

Thought some of you in the midwest-northeast could appreciate this:

Summer's

almost here ...we

can now see the deer moving

around in the back yard.

Yep, won't be long.

As of this morning, there was still a bit of snow on the ground in north MS. That makes 19 days straight with at least some snow on the ground (occasionally only in the shade, but on the ground nonetheless). That's really unheard of around here. I never I thought I'd say: "I'll be glad when the snow is gone."

Wow. The only time I've seen something like that is when the deer are swimming across the lakes up north.

You won't see it long down here either, cause one of us will shoot those pesky rodents. They are thicker than flies on manure down here.

We have WAY too many of those varmints up north as well. Just ask the front of one of my ex-cars.

I was referring to seeing just the head of that varmint sticking up.

LOL! I know....and that's a perfect view for a head shot.

Ask Kody if he's familiar with vehicle vs. deer excursions.

Just got my car back this Monday, $5800 worth of damage and didn't even kill the #@%@ deer. She left the scene before any of the witnesses could get her tag number.

Last night on the way home there were 8 doe(s?) right on the edge of the road in a corn field, apparently the hunters didn't do a very good job of thinning the herd this year. I don't hunt, not that I'm opposed to it, it just doesn't appeal to me. Getting up before dawn on a frigid morning, heading out to the woods, and then climbing a tree...nah I'll pass. Now on the other hand, if anyone has any extra venison I can help you with that.

The worse part about hunting is dragging the carcass.

Kody's deer didn't survive. I don't know how much monetary damage it would have been. I fixed the truck myself. Thankfully, he wasn't driving a small car. A girl got killed yesterday in Nashville where a deer went through the car's windshield.

That's just one more good reason to drive a big 4wd truck and also have open season on deer.

Have hit two deer myself up here in Michigan.
Both were over 20 years ago though.
Deer vs. 5000lb vehicles; Deer always LOSES.
Both vehicles only suffered minor bumper/grille damage.
Can't say the same for the deer.
One of the impacts was at 70+mph.
That one was a real nightmare to field-dress for processing.
It literally looked like it ate a couple of Quarter-Sticks for lunch inside.
Externally it looked fairly "normal"

I now rarely frequent roads at night that are likely to have deer on them.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, TURMOIL, FIASCOS, and HAVOC !

Fixed the damaged radiator and grill on my daughters car a few years ago from a deer collision. No body damage, just the grill and rad.

The worse part was the fact that the poor animal "evacuated his bowels" when he got hit.

STINKY!
