Edgar Mitchell of Apollo 14 dead at 85
Edgar Mitchell, Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 14 with Commander Alan Shepard, passed away after a sudden illness. I heard this was the 45th anniversary of the flight.
Edgar was considered one of the "stranger" astronauts... somewhat to his commander and fellow crewmate's chagrin, he engaged in various ESP experiments, trying to "mentally broadcast" images on cards to various "ESPers" back on Earth, with no success...
