Default J. Michael Straczynski

J. Michael Straczynski

Creator and writer for Babylon 5 T.V. series. The first Sci-Fi T.V. series to complete a story arc.

He is at Comic-Con in San Diego, CA. today until Sunday. I met him at a Sci-Fi Con in 1994 when he came to Springfield, MA. to show B5 'The Gathering'. We were so stunned after watching the movie, we were speechless. He thought we did not like it. The room erupted into cheers and if he wasn't so large of a man, we would have hoisted him upon our shoulders and carried him around the room!

Read what they say about him at Comi-Con.

J. Michael Straczynski is . . . is . . . no, we're sorry, we just can't do this any more. Yes, he's won all kinds of awards—Eisner, Inkpot, Hugo, Icon, Saturn, others—and yes, he's the guy behind Joe's Comics (Ten Grand, Sidekick, The Adventures of Apocalypse Al, and the relaunch of Dream Police that's going to happen at Comic-Con 2014), and he's written a boatload of movies, from Changeling to World War Z . . . but seriously, have you seen this guy eat? The aftermath looks like a freaking bomb went off. Add to that a personality like a mouthful of sawdust and you've got . . . you've got . . . hell, we don't even know. But he's here. Again. God help us all. - See more at: http://www.comic-con.org/cci/2014/s...h.4mi1leq0.dpuf

BTW, I had a chance to go to Comic-Con S.D.,CA. in 2004. Just coming from Stargate-Con in Vancouver, B.C., CAN. I had enough.

Due to shared hatred for the television show "The Big Bang Theory," this exposes how unfunny the show actually is when you take out the laugh track.

B5 is the best TV show ever. Of course, you have to understand it...

It's one of those shows people either love or hate, I hate, it my sister loves it. She's a Mensa member, I went to meeting with her and declined membership, she wasn't too excited about the "party" either...

I enjoyed B5 when it was running, but I can hardly stand to watch it now.

"JMS" was very innovative. B5 was one of the first shows to have multi-episode "arcs" in addition to episodic stories. Characters could develop, learn things, hit the skids.

Agree completely...

It was "Dallas" on a space station... woop-tee-doo...

I TRIED to get into it, really did... watched a few episodes as was just "meh"... never could get into it. Characters seemed dull and flat and storylines just weren't interesting...

Same thing with the new BSG... it was just "Melrose Place" on the Galactica... never could even sit through an entire episode of that...

Gimme the old 70's goodness anytime...

Later! OL JR

Seasons 3-4 of Babylon 5 were fantastic. The others were OK.

I agree the remake of Battlestar Galactica left a lot to be desired. It made me want to see the civilization destroyed as they had no redeeming qualities.
