Life gets in the way some times but I finished my final Centurion model.
This is the second Semroc Centurion kit I built. The one I built several years ago became a 'hard-luck' model as on every flight it suffered some kind of serious damage. On what would be it's last flight that Centurion had a side of the balsa nose cone cut off by a fin which sliced through it like a knife. Now, where's that Centuri Centurion...

Here's a picture of my newly finished Semroc Centurion and an actual Centuri Centurion kit I had build a few weeks earlier.
A couple of comparison comments: 1) The fin material in the Semroc kit was 1/8th inch thick balsa wood while the Centuri kit was 1/16th inch thick. 2) The Centuri kit fins were diecut but the die must have been worn as the root edge on all the fins was poorly cut. The rest of each fin was pretty cleanly cut. 3) When the Senroc kit fin was overlaid on the Centuri kit fin I could find no difference in the size or shape. 4) The Centuri kit motor mount featured a coupler tube between the two centering rings. The Semroc kit only had the two paper centering rings. I added a couple tube to the Semroc motor mount to make it more durable. 5) The Centuri kit has the motor tube stick out past the end of the body tube. With the Semroc kit the end of the motor tube is flush with the end of the body tube. 6) The Centuri kit has a single two inch long launch lug while the Semroc kit has two one-inch launch lugs. 7) The Centuri parachute is larger and features eight shroud lines. The Semroc parachute is smaller, has six shroud lines but two parachutes are included in the kit. The two models make a nice set, but, wait, there's more...

...And here it is.
My collection of built Centurion kits. (L-R): Semroc Centurion F, Semroc Centurion, Centuri Centurion and Semroc Mini Centurion. A nice looking family of models.

Addendum
Around ten years ago Estes brought out a kit named the Cosmic Explorer.
It had a resemblance in some ways to the Centurion kit. I built and flew one of these models. In the interest of completeness I have attached a picture of the Cosmic Explorer with all my Centurion models.
