Minotaur C success! (links)
Hello All,
The all-solid propellant Orbital Sciences (now Orbital ATK) Taurus launch vehicle, which suffered multiple payload fairing separation failures, returned to service this week with a new name—Minotaur C. This change, and the “C” in its name, reflect the “Commonality” of components and systems between it and other members of the Minotaur/Pegasus family of launch vehicles. In its comeback mission, it successfully orbited six SkySat and four Dove CubeSat spacecraft for the Earth-imaging company called Planet, conducting various maneuvers between deployments of the satellites in order to make their paths disperse as desired. Below are nine links to articles, photographs, and videos on/of the mission: http://spaceflightnow.com/2017/10/3...flight-tuesday/ http://spaceflightnow.com/2017/10/3...sats-and-doves/ http://spaceflightnow.com/2017/10/3...-status-center/ http://spaceflightnow.com/2017/10/3...rom-california/ http://spaceflightnow.com/2017/10/3...otaur-c-rocket/ www.youtube.com/watch?v=6x2ng23v_MQ www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWsxNGD3fPE www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1rLOv5yF_Q www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cce85nAKpU I hope this material will be interesting.
