"You do have an option here... You can wait to install the OMS pods onto the rocket..." "Also, the OMS pods are painted a different color..." Not being pedantic, but I am simply referencing the part call out in the instructions. Given that the APS provided ullage, roll, pitch, and yaw manoeuvring I suppose Tim makes the connection there. I would not be the one to call him out on it.

Sadly no wraps. That is a clone of the original Estes 1279 release. I used label stock and fudged the "thinnest", "medium", and "wide" to be 1/8th, 3/16th, and 5/16h respectively.

Ok... not trying to be "snarky"... Just saying for the uninitiated... Tim should know better... he *was* a self-proclaimed "rocket scientist" after all (said he worked on Delta rockets). He more than anyone should know that you should call things by the right name... Later! OL JR

It really is an impressive kit to build, even in fits and starts. Still a lot of paint to go.

Just a thought.
I had a plastic model of the Lem on the moon years ago, with the capsule on a wire above it in orbit. Wouldn't it be really cool to have Sat. V on ejection have the Lem on a chute, while the capsule on another, and the rest on another chute? Maybe the tower on a streamer? Does anyone think that this can be done? I sure would like to try something like this, even if it took a whole year to complete. |

Or have a thin cord between the tip of the capsule and the top of the LM reel them together to achieve docking - massive mission points... Bill
