Default No More SHX Stilleto's?

I noticed the SHX Stilleto is no longer featured on the Quest website. Is it gone? Is Shrox gone? If so, maybe he took it with him, since he kitted his before he ever got to Quest.
Just curious; anyone know?

It was there this morning when I last looked.

I don't see it now.

When I see that an item is not on a website, I do not assume it has been discontinued. I assume it is a glitch or a website is in flux (they revise them from time to time). If I an persoanlly concerned, I call the maufacturer and ask them rather than posting on a public forum that an itme has been discontinued since such a posting can damage sales of an item and harm a company.

So call them, and see what they say. Then you can either post a follow-up or delete the thread if it's cleaner.

He has not visited this forum since early August, which is unusual.

I did as Fred suggested, and was told there are some corrections to the SHX's instructions that need to be made, so they took it down until that is done. Quest will be putting up the corrections on their website for those of us who have this kit.

Doug will be working only on some designs for them now, as needed. He is no longer a direct employee, as I understand it.
I was concerned only because I really like his designs. One can see ( I think) evidence of his influence on the Aerospace One and the AS-1 Fighter Escort, both very nice looking rockets.

I was wondering what happened to Shrox because I hadn't seen him on the forums lately. I hate that he's not at the same capacity at Quest, they really seemed to be releasing some cool stuff.

The AS-1 Presidential Transport and the Fighter Escort are still on the site. Former is priced and available, the latter as a future release, and both credited to Shrox.

I built the Stilleto last month, and there were several problems with the parts and instructions that I brought to Quest's attention:
1) the fins were laser-cut wrong
2) the instructions had errors--including the tube marking guide
3) the decal sheet didn't contain enough decals to finish the plane as shown in the instructions and on the package face card

Quest acknowledged my respectful and detailed email, and also indicated that other buyers had contacted them about the same problems, so perhaps they've temporarily yanked the Stilleto to make corrections--I sure hope it's temporary! It's a great looking rocket/plane!

This was my build....

Thanks guys for the info about the SHX Stiletto. My LHS has them in stock and I was planning to pick one up. Now I'll wait until the corrections are made.

A good use for their Nike Smoke NC also.

Could you be a little more specific about the errors you found? In what way are the fins wrong? What errors did you find in the instructions other than the marking guide? What decals are missing? How were you able to correct these errors? I have one on the bag. I know Quest is working on it, but in the meantime, I am curious what "gotcha's" lurk inside the bag.
