AMERICAN BASIC SCIENCE CLUB Weather Station Unused
This is a 1965 weather station science kit made in 1965 by American Basic Science Club. Not rocketry, but science, and the right vintage to perhaps be of interest to someone on this forum. It is new, never used in original box. The parts bags are all still sealed. Even the box itself is in remarkably nice condition considering its age. If there is anyone here interested please PM me with an offer. If no interest I will probably take it to Ebay. I can ship this to anywhere in USA for $16.03.

OK, guys, I could have sworn that someone on this forum had expressed an interest in one of these kits in the past. Anyway, I'll now put it over on Ebay, so if you are interested, drop in there and take a look.

It wasn't me, but that is a neat find Joe. I had that exact kit as a kid. The wind direction feature was the "coolest" part! Looking at my weather station here, I can see just how much technology has changed over a brief few years.... Greg

I put it up on Ebay for $50 which I think is a fair price for one so nice. The small parts are still sealed in their bags.

Nope.............British (I mean, English). This is really a neat kit. Nostalgic even for me, and I never owned one as a boy, because it reminds me of a simpler time. There is an order form included with the instructions with which you can order replacement parts. The company took the time to list every single part, right down to individual nuts and bolts, the cost of which were 1 or 2 cents each. And shipping was 50 cents. |

Hey Mojo,
I bought your weather station on Ebay. Thanks for offering it up. I'll probably play with it for a little bit and then I was thinking that my daughter's middle school may want to use it some. They'll be studying weather later this year. I'll have to check with them. At any rate it'll get put to good use. Thanks again, David

Hey, David, thanks for your purchase. As Canada Post doesn't pick up mail on weekends, I will have to wait until Monday morning to get it out to you. I'll email you at that time to confirm shipment. Thanks again, and I hope you and the kids enjoy it! Joe |
