Default Foam nose cone

I came across something interesting in an auction I purchased, it was a 1/70 Apollo nose cone that had been molded out of what appears to be two part poly urethane. The weight and texture and rigidity seems to be a rather nice alternative to its balsa counterpart. Now my question to you is , does anyone know the methods that this was accomplished? Will spray paints adhere to this material? I searched both yorf and trf trying to find the methods used and have not been successful yet.

North Coast Rocketry used cast foam cones early on. A yellowish foam coated with a hard plastic coating.

I recall they took paint well.

Of course, your Apollo capsule might have been cast with a different material.

JimZ was making these for a while back in the early/mid 90's. I have 2or 3 of them somewhere.
