Default Load of Languages on the Laser Lance

Just an observation:
I no longer have a big problem with packaging in multiple languages, I just find it interesting that the new Estes Laser Lance kit seems to be the only one that has English, Spanish, and French.

What? No Pashto? Sheesh!

I LOVE poutine! There's a little place in Valcourt, QB that has the absolute best poutine. I always stop in there when I do a job at CanAm Bombardier. Now I'm jonesing.

I think you will find that ALL Estes kits will have three languages going forward. it may take some time before you see them in your local area but it's coming.

Doesn't bother me none - if I can't read it, I just assume it isn't important! (Yeah - I'm in Smart @$$ mode tonight - but as a co-worker used to say, better a Smart one than a Dumb one! )

While purely pictographic instructions with limited multi-lingual "call-outs" (along with "Required Tools" lists) would work for model rocket kits (that is the way the instructions in many plastic model kits are formatted), I imagine the possibility of accidents is why they don't use this type of instructions--although pictographs are included in current Estes kit instructions along with the text.

For example, the instructions for the Estes UP Aerospace SpaceLoft kit (#1793) include pictographs for too-loose and too-tight nose cones and for the required tools (white pencil, scissors, modeling knife, [tube-type] plastic cement, masking tape, and sandpaper). The section of the instructions about preparing & launching the model includes pictographs with the international "prohibited" symbol (a circle with slash) that indicate to not fly the rocket near power lines, trees, buildings, dry grass or weeds, and aircraft, and not to fly it in cloudy/rainy conditions or windy conditions.

I have no problem with French being on there for the hoser, err, Canadian market. The only reason Spanish should be on there though is if they're planning on selling the kits in Mexico.
