Default Vintage Centuri Buck Rogers Laser Lance Build

Well, I couldn't build both Vintage Centuri kits and not the third one. So I opened up one of my Laser Lance kits and will begin working on it today. The Doctor said I am healing well but will not return to work for another month.......that's some quality building time.

When you get a chance, what is the length of the body tube?

This is one I built last year and the decals dress it up nicely.

Gotta be careful on spacing on the decals for the upper body tube though to ensure that the two 'half wraps' are properly spaced so that the two round circle decals are balanced properly between them. Since they are stick-on decals however, you don't get many chances to get it right. Not hard though....just gotta be careful.

Have not had a chance to fly mine yet though.....got 4-5 builds that I have not had a chance to get into the air.

Good luck on the build.

Yes, I have a ton of vintage kits and they are all begging to be opened, built and flown. This build was pretty straight forward. I don't really like fiber fins, but they do finish fast. I brush on 1 coat of balsa sealer to seal the edges, one coat of primer, one coat of flat white and 2 coats of glossy white. The pressure decals went on with no problems and are still have there grip. I have all 3 of the vintage Centuri Buck Rogers birds built and ready for flight.
Now the issue is what to build next. All my rockets are packed away in heavy bins and I have a weight restriction until my surgery is 100 percent. I do have some rocket kits lying around so I will see what I have.

Attractive rocket group there.
I don't remember enough about the series to remember if there really was something named laser lance in the theatre movie or the TV show.

There was no actual Laser Lance in Buck Rogers 25 Century. This rocket came from the designer's imagination and it used parts from other Centuri rockets.
