Default Shrox/Apogee free plans

I am just curious, who has built the designs in the free plans from the Apogee newsletter, and which are your favorites? Here is a link to the RockSim files of these designs.

Yes, that is what started me wondering about it. I am thinking about starting up again, but only if I am sure I can sustain things. I too was disappointed that Shrockets became OOP.

Alright, alright, ya got me! Busted. There, are you happy now?

I DL'd the archived plans from Apogee, and the RockSim files from EMRR, some time ago. I thought that the designs were all really cool, and I intended to build every one. Really, I did...

Now that you have outed me as a slacker, I guess I'm just going to have to get to work on them.

Geez!

That's not all of them, but is all that I've built, I think. There are at least 1-2 other published ones in the Apogee e-zines that I haven't gotten to, plus a couple others that if not "published" are at least out there in every true fan's stash of plans. I'm remembering something like a glider...

Of the list above, my favorite is the one with the "Eat this E.T." decal--I think the Bolero. All-time favorite Shrox is the Alien 8, though, hands-down. Built an original, and the Flis reproduction remains one of the only Fliskits I don't have, probably because it is so close to the original as to not be worth the bucks from me for a duplicate.

The FlisKits Alien8 is pretty close to original, except Jim turned the ping pong balls upside down...

I too must admit to being a slacker (or would that be SHlacker). I have
your Apogee plans tucked away for the right time...

I built the Star Shuttle (just posted pics yesterday in the RG section).

I've also built the SHX-15B (not free) a couple of times. Lost the first
at NARAM-46 and other about a year ago at TTRA.

I'm currently working the math on the SHX Ripley from the 2007 EMRR
calendar cover. (Thanks again for sending the Lightwave file, BTW!)

I certainly would welcome new Shrocket kits!

Hey Douglas!
I'd like to be first in line for a Star Shuttle and a Vipox kit. Several others, too, assuming you get going again!
