Default A couple of things I want to track down

There are a couple of things that I'd like to track down for a project that I'm working on.

One is the original Centuri catalog blurb that goes something like: "Talk about "go"! This "bird" has "it!" This might be the most exciting model rocket that you will ever own!" IIRC, ironically this was for something like a 3FNC kit. Anyway, I clearly remember it, but tracking it down has been elusive.

The other is a color scan of a cover of a middle '70s NAR Model Rocketeer magazine.

Thanks!

I have a fairly good set of Model Rocketeers of that vintage. Is there any particular issue you have in mind?

Early '74 would be the best. '75 would also be a sweet spot. But anything between '74 and '77 would be fine. Thanks!

On your Centuri kit description, do you have a rough time frame on it? Pretty familiar with all the Centuri catalogs, but that particular description or something similar to it doesn't readily ring a bell. But, if you can provide a general time frame it might help.

Maybe this is it....

From the 1976-2 tabloid catalog. I checked its first appearance in the 1973 catalog and the kit description is a bit different. Haven't gone back through all the other catalogs between the two to see when in took on this particular text, but maybe this is a starting place.

I have most of the issues from 1974. Is there a particular subject you had in mind?

The covers are black and white except for "Model Rocketeer" and volume number, date and such which are red.

Most covers that year have models on them (as you'd expect) but one of them (March) has a full sized Saturn IB betting its fins replaced on it.

I suppose I can just scan several and you can choose. I'll probably need an email address as the file sizes will likely be too big to upload here so drop me a PM, please.

added: I've done February, March and July. Just let me know where to send 'em.

Further added: I've posted them to your similar thread on that other forum.

Thanks for the help here. I have tidied up my project. I shouldn't be surprised that nearly 50 memories of MR ad copy are a little bit off.
