New Design: Scrappy II
Here is a new design I am quite fond of. It uses a ping pong ball and a 3" transition to form a short vintage/ sci-fi looking rocket. Might be and lander and a school yard sounder. Craig and you all will love it, I hope.
Enjoy and Thanks Again, JP James Pierson NAR# 77907 |

I've never done that but I suppose it's possible. A paper overlay, or finishing with silk and dope, would also add some strength without too much weight. Landing forces are more worrysome to me than launch forces...

New Design: Golden Stitch
Here is another design I call the Golden Stitch. Your kids will probably recognize this from the movies if they are Harry Potter fans. I changed the name a little to avoid those infringement woe's. It's a great little park flier a well.
Enjoy and Thanks Again, JP James Pierson NAR# 77907 |

Nice work, James! These are the kind of designs that I think we really need more of, given the lack of large fields around most metroplex areas. Schoolyards are all that some areas have available, so designs using these smaller motors are more practical than even "B" and "C" setups. Scott is going to have a MAJOR update for the BARCLONE site when his schedule finally allows it...

New Plan -- Tau Alpha
Another example of creativity inspired by Cracker Barrel...
I thought Jay's "Tau Zero" nose cone needed to be used in more designs, so here's my contribution to pushing the SEMROC product line... Length: 19.20" Fin Span: 7.45" Diameter: 1.04" (BC-760) Weight: 1.59 oz A8-3.......183'.......5 FPS B4-4.......490'......18 FPS C6-7......1187'......20 FPS All motors reach flight V in the length of a standard rod. Enjoy!
