Default Time-Sensitive Project

I'm back from the combat tank plant in Anniston, AL, and rather than getting right back to the Alien Explorer, I'm doing a "time-sensitive" build.

Mary painted the green for me this week while I was away and I just finished the hat tonight.

Now, you may may not figure out what it is at first, but stick with it and it will dawn on you. Hint: it has a shillelagh. TBC

I could be female and be wearing an erin-go-bra.

Wish we had known you were in the area we could have had lunch or something. There are several great places to eat in and around Anniston/Oxford.

I don't think it will be flyable. The hat blocks the launch lug.

I've added a few more details but it still has a long way to go.
Time for a Scotch and an IPA. Good night! TBC

slightly off topic, but can you recommend a Scotch?? I love Bourbons and Irish Whiskey, especially cask strength varieties. I want to explore the vast world of Scotch, the only I have tried is Ardbeg 10, I enjoyed it, but boy that stuff was very very different than anything else I have had. Like a salty leather shoe if that makes sense.

Nice build. Can you use a hole punch and sacifice a bit of the hat over the launch lug?
I could also see a three rod launch tower or even a piston launcher.

Still, a nice display model.

Chas

It'll probably stagger into the air drunkenly, weave around some, before falling down...

later! OL JR

You betcha!

My favorite Scotches are single malts and my two favorite readily available brands are Abelour 10 yr old and Laphroig 10 yr old. Laphroig is VERY peaty and smokey and a lot of Scotch drinkers don't like it's strength. Abelour is very smooth. Whenever I'm at a duty free store I always try to schlep back an unusual one.

For a blended Scotch, my preference is Dimple Pinch 10 yr old.

I drink Scotch neat---always. IMO adding ice and water only ruins it twice. Opinions vary.

Chin-Chin!

As a die-hard, blue-bleeding son of Kentucky, I rarely drink scotch, but, in my limited experience, thinning it a bit with some water is far less sinful than adding soda That is, the essential flavor still comes thru unmolested when cut with a little water.

Nevertheless, I do enjoy the occasional sip of straight whiskey. But I tend to avoid it - I teach my kids not to do shots - so I try to abide my own rules

Anyway, the thread has certainly taken a very interesting tack

Doug
