Looking for an Estes red hangtag from a Mercury Redstone skill 5 kit. I would like one in very good condition for my collection and don't want to spend $100 buying the kit just to get one. Willing to buy or barter.

Have 3 K-41/1241 kits.
One missing the hang-tag and opened; just confirmed no tag in bag. The other two kits are sealed and pristine. Sorry could not help. Incidentally, that was the ONLY kit Estes ever produced with a red header card and hang-tag. The only other kit that was Skill Level 5 that was ever bagged was the first year Mars Lander in I think 1969, which was prior to the 1973 introduction of Skill Level packaging. That kit with it's excessively complicated escape tower was probably the most difficult-to-build-kit ever produced by Estes.

GH, thanks for taking the time to look. All correct about the skill 5 hangtag. The only other red hangtag, and it was not a skill level type, was the red double oval from around 1972 or so. |

I can't get to mine, but here's one on Ebay...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-EST...=item25710aa236 Its header is a bit faded, but you can tell it's still red. Allen |
