Default Show Me Your Mars Snooper Paint Job!

First model I intend to tackle for the winter build list is the Estes Mars Snooper. I'm looking for ideas about different paint schemes for the bird.

Anyone here willing to share pictures of their rendition of the classic Estes sci-fi model?

My Mars Snooper was a cross between the Estes catalog paint job and the rear end vanes from the Centuri Laser X.

The whole build is here:

Have fun with the shrouds and vanes in the tail end!

Here's mine. I piped the blue sections with 1/16" yellow pinstripe adhesive film.

Great paint jobs, fellas. I've never built this kit but it's definitely one I'd like to try.

It can be a challenge! Especially the paper tail cones.

I have always liked the Mars Snooper II better than the original.
Especially when the legs are truly functional and spring-loaded.

Yeah, I remember the build thread you did on that one. It does look pretty tough to get it right.

I made copies of the paper shroud sheets and finally got it right on the 3rd or 4th try.
